Ms. Leezie Kim
Leezie Kim is a partner in the law firm of Quarles and Brady, and a community leader in Arizona, where she spent the better part of her childhood. She recently returned to the Valley and private practice after serving as a White House-selected political appointee for two and a half years in Washington, DC.
She was the deputy general counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) in Washington, D.C. where she was responsible for providing legal advice and support directly to the General Counsel and the Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. Prior to that, she served then Governor Napolitano as her General Counsel.
She currently practices law as a partner with Quarles & Brady LLP, where she helps clients navigate the laws of national security, interactions with the federal government and international business transactions as well as healthcare and restaurant business transactions.
Ms. Kim graduated from Rice University (B.A. Economics) and University of Virginia - School of Law (Juris Doctorate).
