Airport Will Thank Travelers on Customer Appreciation Day

Traveling through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Tuesday, October 5? If you are, you’re in for a treat. It’s Customer Appreciation Day. Now in its second year, America’s Friendliest Airport® is showing appreciation for its customers by having special giveaways, discounts, samples and much more. These events are part of a day-long celebration in honor of national Customer Service Week.

Volunteer Navigators and other employees will also be handing out thank you stickers. And, Amelia the Airplane, a favorite with children, will be flying around the terminals greeting travelers and posing for pictures.

The Phoenix – Candy giveaways and a “Phoenix Pony” promotion for 50% off
Paradise Bakery – 10% discount to all customers from 5 a.m. – 5 p.m. A Giant Cookie will roam the Airport offering samples and free cookie cards, and a free lunch will be given to a randomly selected order number in each terminal for a lucky guest.

Airport buses, operated by Veolia Transportation, will also be handing out coloring books for children as well as pens for adults. There will also be random giveaways throughout the day. And, for those who park in the terminal garages or economy lots, Ace Parking will be handing out candy as you exit.
