PHX Is Pleased to Once Again Offer Gift Wrapping
The holidays are a very busy time of the year with what seems like a flurry of events and things to do. For those traveling during this holiday season, remembering what to pack and which gifts to bring can be overwhelming. For the third year in a row, America’s Friendliest Airport® is aiming to take a little stress out of the season for holiday travelers by offering free gift-wrapping past security.
On December 20-23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., travelers will be able to have their gifts wrapped at stations beyond Terminal 4 Security Checkpoints B and C. Gift wrapping will be free, but donations will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit local United Way charities through the city of Phoenix Community Service Fund Drive. Last year, nearly 500 gifts were wrapped, and more than $775 was raised for the community.
With the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) encouraging travelers not to wrap their gifts so that they can be more easily screened, Sky Harbor’s gift wrapping not only is a great opportunity to help the community, but for travelers to arrive at their destinations ready for the gift exchange. And, travelers can even do a little last minute shopping at the Airport and have their gifts wrapped before boarding.
Travelers should look for signs to the gift wrapping stations in Terminal 4 once they go through the B and C Security checkpoints.
