Sending Holiday Greetings to Those Who Serve
Travelers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport have the opportunity to provide a little holiday cheer to members of the military who serve our country.
For the past five years, the American Red Cross has held Holiday Mail for Heroes, a program that delivers holiday greetings to service members, their families and veterans during the holiday season. In partnership with Pitney Bowes Inc. and US Airways, this program is now available at Sky Harbor. US Airways employee volunteers known as the Do Crew along with Red Cross volunteers are staffing tables on both the East and West ends in the Terminal 4 Baggage Claim area until November 30. There, travelers can fill out cards of cheer and encouragement donated by US Airways. Cards will be screened, sorted and packaged by The Red Cross and Pitney Bowes and then sent to military bases and hospitals throughout the holidays.
So if you are in Terminal 4 over the next few weeks, please take a few minutes to stop by the Holiday Mail for Heroes table to send a few messages of appreciation to those who have made great sacrifices for our nation.
