New Restaurants Give Travelers an Array of Choices

Might America’s Friendliest Airport® also be the tastiest? Some customers think so.

Scrumptious cookies? @CarolisCreative says, “On a mission for a Chocolate Chip Sea Salt cookie recipe to rival the one I had in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. I need someone to fly me up a cookie to OAK! Meanwhile sending map of PHX to my friends so they can find the cookie enroute!”

Those cookies are sold at La Grande Orange and Chelsea’s Kitchen by the way. And, that’s not all that is sold in Phoenix Sky Harbor’s Terminal 4 restaurants. Crispy braised short rib machaca tacos with green peppers and onions; mouth-watering Dixie pan-fried chicken; fresh mozzarella, vine-ripe tomato, crostini and basil caprese salad, and cool, sweet, delicious tiramisu. These are only a few of the delectable dishes you can sample.

In fact, if you have traveled through Terminal 4, Sky Harbor’s busiest, over the past few months, you have probably noticed construction and signs mentioning restaurants coming soon as well as new eateries to try. This is part of an ongoing renovation of food concepts in the terminal. In addition to Sky Harbor adding new local favorites, current favorites and national chains like Paradise Bakery and Starbucks remain. There truly is something for everyone.

“Our goal is to provide visitors with a taste of some of the best restaurants the Phoenix area has to offer,” said Terminal Concessions Manager Paula Kucharz. “We stressed the balance between local, regional and national brands as a sustainable goal to achieve the greatest in customer satisfaction.”

And, good news for customers, these restaurants operate on the concept of street pricing.

“Because our new contracts contain a street pricing policy, when you are at a restaurant here at Sky Harbor, the price is the same as it is anywhere in the metropolitan area,” Kucharz said.

Our favorite dish? It’s too difficult to say, but next time you are traveling through, find a restaurant, have a seat and sample some of the new cuisine. Or, get it to go. After all, restaurants offer to go options as well. Hours at the restaurants vary and many serve delicious breakfast items as well. See a map of our Terminal 4 restaurants. And, be sure to provide us feedback.
