Roadway Improvements Make It Easier To Get To Sky Harbor

Travelers coming to the Airport will have another way to enter thanks to a new ramp off State-Route 143 (SR-143). The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has recently completed the southbound SR-143 interchange reconstruction. Now, travelers can enter the Airport from southbound SR-143.

Additionally, the northbound SR-143 ramp into the Airport has also recently reopened. It had been closed since March for improvements. These improvements were part of an ongoing project by ADOT to modernize the freeway connections. Earlier this year, a new ramp connecting Sky Harbor directly to southbound SR-143 opened. This allows drivers to exit directly onto the SR-143 rather than taking a longer path to get on the freeway.
