Southwest to Start Service to Newark

Beginning June 5, travelers will have another option to fly to the greater New York/New Jersey area as Southwest Airlines begins service from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport. Southwest Airlines will operate two daily nonstop flights.

Phoenix is excited about this inaugural service on Southwest between the two cities.

“Newark is an important destination for Phoenix travelers,” said Jim Peterson, Marketing and Community Relations Manager for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. “This is a popular route for business travelers as well as the many Valley residents who have moved here from the east coast.”

Southwest is currently offering fare specials for this new route. Fares start at $139 each way. Visit southwest.com to book travel.
