A Variety of Holiday Gift Ideas Right Here at Sky Harbor

Wondering what to get as a holiday gift? Didn’t have a chance to hit the mall before arriving at the Airport? Not to worry, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has a variety of options for even the most difficult to please.

Looking for a gift for an avid reader? Border’s in Terminal 4 is offering a purchase special. If you spend $30, you can purchase a cuddly, Beckett the Panda for $8.99. That is a $19.99 value.

Or, are you looking for a gift for that special someone in your life or someone who likes jewelry? From now until December 20, spend $100 in a single purchase at Brighton Collectables and receive a day planner and journal set. Brighton has two locations in Terminal 4 – one pre-security on Level 3 and the other just past the Security C Checkpoint.

Giving a gift to someone who wants something Southwestern or unique? Is that person a fan of tamales? Then, why not give a gift of the Southwest with some holiday tamales from El Bravo(see photo above right)? El Bravo Mexican Grill, which is located past security in Terminal 4, sells frozen tamales to go for $29.99 per dozen. Red or green sauce is available for $2. The tamales are sold in special holiday bags with complete re-heating instructions. Chicken, vegetarian and red beef options are available and no animal fat or preservatives are used.

“It’s especially nice if you’re traveling back East or somewhere not Southwest where they’re not familiar with tamales because it is a nice treat,” said Monique Othon of El Bravo. “Or, for people who grew up here, but have moved and can’t find good quality tamales, this is a wonderful gift.”

If you’re looking for something to satisfy your or your loved one’s sweet tooth, look no further than Paradise Bakery. Paradise Bakery, which has locations in all three terminals, offers freshly baked and specialty packaged holiday cookies. Both regular cookies and chippers are available. The regular cookie box is $8.10 and the chipper (smaller cookies) box is $2.95.

Or, if you are someone who prefers to purchase a gift card, several Airport shops and restaurants are now selling them. Border’s in Terminal 4 sells them in addition to Paradise Bakery and Wendy’s, which has a limited number available. For ice-cream lovers, Cold Stone Creamery in Terminal 4 will donate $5 towards breast cancer research for each $20 purchased.

Many other unique gift choices are available at the variety of shops at Sky Harbor. Stay tuned and follow us on Twitter at PHXSkyHarbor as promotions or specialty events are announced.
