Phoenix Suns Take Over Sky Harbor’s D Concourse

Ever wonder what it would be like to trade places with an airline employee? Well, to the delight of travelers in Sky Harbor’s D concourse, Phoenix Suns players got to do just that on Thursday, Dec. 10 as part of a fun Southwest Airlines annual event.

Passengers were surprised to see the likes of Suns stars Grant Hill, Louis Amundson, Jared Dudley, Robin Lopez and Goran Dragic and Suns alumni Mark West, Alvan Adams, Tim Kempton and Scott Williams taking boarding passes and announcing flights, among other things.

Sun players also got a chance to work behind the scenes, handling the luggage from Southwest’s bright orange Slam Dunk plane, prominently sporting the NBA logo and basketballs.

The Gorilla, Suns Dancers and APS Solar Squad were also helping usher in passengers that were thrilled to have the opportunity to have their photos taken with the Suns celebrities and to receive Suns memorabilia.
