Because Security is Everyone’s Responsibility

At Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, safety and security is our top priority. "SOAR" - Secure Our Airport Responsibly – is our security program. Its goal is to help law enforcement and Airport security  identify suspicious activity.

Some examples of suspicious activity that passengers or the community may observe:

  • People conducting surveillance of the airport
  • Taking odd or unusual photos
  • Someone leaving luggage unattended
  • Vehicles in unusual locations
  • People asking unusual questions
  • Excessive or unusual loading of supplies

If you see these or any other suspicious activities, contact Phoenix Police, an Airport employee or a member of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) immediately. For Airport EMERGENCIES call 602-273-3311. For general information call 602-273-3300.

People who report suspicious activity could receive a reward check for $35. Non-city of Phoenix employees who report suspicious activities are also entered into a quarterly drawing for a $100 reward check. City of Phoenix employees who report suspicious activity can receive up to four hours of paid time off.
