Terminal 4 - Final Concourse Addition
Terminal 4 opened in 1990 with five concourses and 48 gates. It was built with expansion capabilities for up to eight concourses. Today there are seven concourses in Terminal 4, which handles about 80 percent of Sky Harbor's passengers. There is space for one additional concourse. The last concourse, west of Concourse D, will be built when airline demand warrants.
