‘70 Years of Thunder’ Coming to Luke Air Force Base
Each spring, many events attract visitors to the Valley of the Sun from spring training baseball to unique festivals. One such event is Luke Air Force Base’s annual open house and air show. This year will be no different with the event celebrating its 70th anniversary this March.
This year’s open house, “70 Years of Thunder,” will take place March 19-20 at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Ariz. Organizers say that the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds, will bring high-flying excitement to the event. Additionally, the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team will perform. There will also be ground displays and performances throughout the day for all ages.
Admission to this event on both days is free. Flying begins at 11 a.m. Parking and transportation is available for a small fee at nearby off-base areas. For additional information about this exciting event, visit the Luke Air Force Base website and click on “70 Years of Thunder” for more information.”
