Environmentally Responsible Purchasing

The Airport follows the City of Phoenix Environmentally Preferable Purchasing guidelines and has found additional opportunities:

  • Recycled glass beads are used for airfield striping instead of beads made from new glass.
  • Rubberized asphalt pavement (made from recycled tires) is used in road projects.
  • Old ceiling tiles were replaced with a recyclable tile product.
