Airport Offers Free Gift Wrapping for Ninth Year
PHOENIX – You spent a lot on gifts this year, so let Sky Harbor give you something for free.
For the ninth year, America’s Friendliest Airport® will offer free gift wrapping to fliers in Terminal 4 post-security. The service will be offered Dec. 22-23 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and on Dec. 24 from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. immediately after the screening areas near Security Checkpoints A, B and C.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) discourages travelers from bringing wrapped presents and packages through security because they may be unwrapped if they need to be inspected. Travelers can avoid delaying themselves and everyone in line behind them by waiting until they’re past security to wrap gifts.
For those passengers who need to buy a gift to be wrapped, Sky Harbor’s first-ever Holiday Catalog (https://www.skyharbor.com/ShopsFoodServices/holiday-catalog-2017) has come to the rescue with dozens of awesome, Arizona-centric ideas.
One-of-a-kind gifts for men, women and children made by local artisans and featured in some of Arizona’s favorite boutiques can be found in the Sky Harbor retail shops listed in the catalog. Travelers can grab that last-minute present for their loved ones (or just splurge on something special for themselves) and then let airport volunteers giftwrap them before boarding their flights.
