Phoenix Sky Harbor Launches New Mobile Website Just in Time for Holiday Travel
Phoenix, AZ – Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is launching a cutting-edge, customer-friendly mobile version of its website, skyharbor.com. On November 17, Airport employees will stand in the terminals encouraging passengers to try the new mobile site. They will wear T-shirts printed with QR (quick response) codes which connect visitors directly to skyharbor.com.
The new mobile site was developed internally by Phoenix Aviation Department Technology staff. Smartphone or tablet users will be automatically directed to the new mobile site when visiting skyharbor.com. The full desktop version of Sky Harbor’s website is still available for those who log into skyharbor.com from a traditional computer.
This new mobile site offers quick access to information such as flight status, parking, shops and restaurants and ground transportation. It features a “Plan Your Visit” interactive tool, which allows users to customize their search for amenities and services near to their departure or arrival gates. The information is formatted for a mobile device and easy to read on a smaller screen. The site also makes it easy to provide feedback to the airport.
“It’s all about customer service,” said Mike Youngs, the Information Technology Project Manager whose team developed this new mobile site. “Travelers rely on their smartphones and tablets. This new mobile site will make it easier for our customers to quickly access the information they need as they move through Phoenix Sky Harbor.”
Curious about the new mobile site? Log onto skyharbor.com from your smartphone or tablet, then tap the “Feedback” button and tell us what you think.
