Local Culinary Concepts Coming Soon to Sky Harbor

If you are traveling through Terminal 4 this spring, you may notice some changes as work begins on adding new food outlets throughout the terminal. In the near future, several eateries are closing to undergo renovation for new and exciting food concepts.

The change in culinary offerings is due to two contracts for food and beverage providers in Terminal 4. Host International, Inc. was awarded the contract for the first phase last year. In this first phase of construction, 27 new and upgraded concepts will be arriving through fall of 2012. The second phase of construction will continue through mid-2013. The first phase will include local favorites such as Sauce, Chelsea’s Kitchen, Barrio Café, Cowboy Ciao as well as traditional concepts such as McDonald’s and Starbucks. In fact, did you know that a new Starbucks will be added to the Terminal 4 Baggage Claim area?

The first concepts to open are Dilly’s Deli and Focaccia Fiorentina which feature grab-and-go items, easy for travelers to take on the plane. Dilly’s Deli is located near Gates A1-A14 and Focaccia Fiorentina is located near gates B1-B14.

Here is the full list of culinary concepts to be offered:

  • Barrio Café
  • Blanco’s Tacos & Tequila
  • Cartel Coffee Lab
  • Chelsea’s Kitchen
  • Cowboy Ciao
  • la Madeleine
  • La Grande Orange
  • McDonald’s
  • Modern Burger
  • NYPD Pizza
  • Press Coffee Food & Wine
  • Olive & Ivy Marketplace
  • Sauce
  • Sir Veza’s Taco Garage

Current favorites such as El Bravo, Paradise Bakery and Café and Starbucks will still have a presence at the Airport, but will move to new locations. Additionally, each of the new restaurants will be offering “street pricing” which means that prices will be consistent with what they are off Airport.

Finally, travelers need not worry as the renovations and new openings will take place in phases, ensuring that there will still be an array of dining options when traveling through America’s Friendliest Airport®.
