Jay C. DeWitt’s 30-year professional career with the City of Phoenix has spanned multiple city departments and some of the highest-profile construction projects Phoenix has undertaken. Two noteworthy projects include the design and construction of the 1,000-room Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, and the development of the $1.6 billion PHX Sky Train®.

As the Assistant Director/Chief Development Officer for the Aviation Department, Mr. DeWitt oversees the airport’s capital and development-related divisions, including Planning and Environmental, Design and Construction Services, and Financial Management. Mr. DeWitt has extensive experience in the areas of accounting, infrastructure finance, project management, and airport finance.

Mr. DeWitt holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Arizona State University and is a Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
