The Wings for Autism® event, designed to alleviate some of the stress that families who have a child with autism experience when traveling by air, has opened enrollment for the annual event this fall. Participants will come to the airport, check in, go through the security screening process, and board an aircraft, which will then taxi around the airport to simulate a flight.

The Arc of Arizona in partnership with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and American Airlines will host Wings for Autism on Friday, October 13.

Wings for Autism® also gives airport, airline, and Transportation Security Administration professionals and other personnel the opportunity to observe, interact and deliver their services in a structured, learning environment.
