Phoenix Sky Harbor Receives Milestone Awards in the New Year
Just a few months into the new year and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has received awards for the innovative work being done throughout the airport.
The airport received the prestigious Airport of the Year award from the Aviation Safety Advisory Group of Arizona for proactively promoting aviation safety throughout the entire City of Phoenix Aviation Department. The award highlighted the Department’s implementation of a formal Safety Management System for all its airports.
Additionally, the Arizona Chapter, Associated General Contractors (AZAGC) presented the airport and Kiewit, a Build Arizona Award for the Terminal 2 Concourse Demolition and Apron Reconstruction project. The AZAGC awards program recognizes companies and individuals for innovation, creativity, safety and dedication. A big thanks to our Design and Construction team that works so hard and to our partners in this project Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. The Terminal 2 demolition began three years ago this past February.
