Congressman Ruben Gallego and Mayor Kate Gallego make Infrastructure Announcement at Phoenix Sky Harbor 

Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed in 2021 with the help of Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is set to receive $36 million for airport terminal upgrades. 

The funds will be used for terminal upgrades such as replacing chillers, condensing water pumps, central plant piping, heat exchangers, and cooling towers. 

This latest round of funding comes after the Biden administration announced earlier this year that $1 billion would be made available to airports nationwide to address gaining infrastructure and improve the passenger experience. 

On Feb. 28, both the Congressman and Mayor presented City of Phoenix Aviation Director Chad Makovsky with a ceremonial check during the announcement.
