Phoenix Sky Harbor Named Airport of the Year
Phoenix Sky Harbor was thrilled to be awarded Airport of the Year at the Airport Minority Advisory Council’s (AMAC) Business Diversity Conference Catalyst Awards Luncheon on August 6. The award honors the airport for significant contributions toward the realization of DBE, ACDBE or EEO goals within an airport in support of diversity inclusion. Phoenix Sky Harbor was recognized for promoting positive participation and awareness of opportunities to diverse and small businesses and adopting several successful practices.
Areas where Phoenix Sky Harbor stood out included employing a full-time Business Engagement Manager, having a small business engagement and outreach desk manual, collaborating with the City of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, partnerships with multicultural chambers and associations and extensive community outreach efforts.
