50 Millionth Passenger of 2024
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport recently achieved a historic milestone it has never done before. This December, the airport surpassed 50 million passengers who have traveled through PHX for the year. This achievement follows a record-setting 2023, when more than 48.6 million passengers traveled through PHX, making it another remarkable year for the airport.
The airport held a special event Dec. 17 to recognize this milestone, which included identifying the 50 millionth passenger. A special congratulations to the Reynolds family, who were between connecting flights, traveling from California to Utah, as they arrived to PHX. Aviation Department Director Chad Makovsky gave remarks and celebrated the achievement, highlighting the airport's continued growth and success. It was a proud moment for Phoenix Sky Harbor as it continues to serve as a major hub for air travel, connecting and welcoming travelers from all over the world to Phoenix.
