Another Successful 12 Days of Gratitude
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport kicked off the holiday festivities early this year with the return of its 12 Days of Gratitude program, which began on Nov. 19. The events aim to show appreciation to travelers during some of the busiest times for travel.
Passengers enjoyed a variety of activities in each terminal, both before and after security, including prize giveaways, photo opportunities with airport mascot Amelia the Airplane and Navigator Buddies, the airport therapy dogs, and interactive art projects such as creating custom pins with the Phoenix Airport Museum team. Volunteer Navigators, who are dressed in purple jackets to assist passengers find their way, surprised travelers with chocolate treats, while the PHX team, led by Amelia, handed out special giveaways to lucky passengers.
The program’s early start allowed the airport to spread cheer and gratitude during one of the busiest travel times of the year, further cementing Phoenix Sky Harbor’s reputation as America’s Friendliest Airport®. In a year that marks the airport’s likely busiest ever, the event provides a warm, cheerful way to kick off the holiday season for everyone passing through.
