Children “Work” at PHX for a Day
It was an exciting and thrilling day for children of City of Phoenix Aviation Department employees on June 12. The Aviation Department hosted Take Your Child to Work Day, where more than 100 children participated and had the opportunity to take part in an airside tour of the airport. Participants visited the Air National Guard where Phoenix Police had their aviation and tactical units on display. They also visited the new Southwest Airlines maintenance hangar. The day concluded back at Aviation Headquarters where each division had a chance to showcase the work they do.
Grandchildren of Navigators also had the chance to tag along with their grandparents at the Phoenix Sky Harbor, the week of June 24, taking part in Take Your Grandchild to Work Day. Navigators and their adorable helpers were out in the terminals getting a firsthand look at how their grandparents help us be America's Friendliest Airport®.
