An Incredible Scenic Adventure Awaits in Jackson Hole

Whether you like skiing, national parks or just being outdoors, Jackson Hole, Wyoming is an incredible destination known for its scenic beauty and outdoor activities. With nonstop flights on American Airlines, it’s easy to get to Jackson Hole from Phoenix.

What’s there to do when you get there? Plenty.

Once you arrive at the welcoming Jackson Hole Airport, pick up your rental car. Drop your bags at your hotel and head out to explore! Jackson Hole is the gateway to two major national parks: Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

Grand Teton offers visitors incredible and dramatic mountain landscapes, lakes, and abundant wildlife. Those who love hiking will enjoy Jenny Lake. It offers a scenic boat ride across the lake as well as great views.

Interested in seeing the wildlife safely up close? Plan on joining a guided wildlife tour. Visitors can safely see a variety of animals such as moose, antelope, elk, birds and more on various tours. The park also offers phenomenal spots for taking photos. Oxbow Bend, Schwabacher’s Landing and the Snake River Overlook are just a few of the many options.

Did you know the National Elk Refuge is located in Jackson Hole? In the winter, bundle up and join a sleigh ride to get an incredible view of the many elk.

Yellowstone is also a short drive from Jackson Hole. Visitors can see Old Faithful and wildlife in one of the country’s most beautiful parks.

Depending on the season, there are a variety of other activities from horseback riding to river rafting and more. In the winter, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Mountain – aka “Town Hill” – offer skiing and snowboarding. Both also offer great hiking opportunities in the summer. Snow King also has a scenic chairlift ride, zip-lining and more.

Need a break from all the adrenaline rushes? Head to downtown Jackson Hole and explore the art galleries, shops, and restaurants. Be sure to get a photo under the iconic elk antler arch in the Town Square and pop into the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, one of the town’s most famous restaurants and bar. The art galleries are unparalleled, and if art is your thing, don’t miss out on the National Museum of Wildlife Art. This museum has wildlife art from around the globe and features artists like Georgia O’Keefe.
