“Bat Teddy” Rescued by Navigator
A heartfelt thank you and shout-out goes to our volunteer Navigator Barbara. A traveler and his young son were waiting at a D gate in Terminal 4. The boy, who was excited to see his cousins, accidentally dropped and left behind his cherished teddy bear, "Bat Teddy," a gift from a close family friend who had passed away.
After driving all the way home to Queen Creek, the family sadly realized Bat Teddy was missing and returned to the airport in hopes of a slim chance they could find the lost item. Thanks to Barbara's diligent efforts, she had found the teddy bear and secured it for safekeeping.
The family expressed deep appreciation for Barbara's kindness and the invaluable role of volunteers in the Navigator program. To them, Bat Teddy is much more than just a toy—it's a treasured family member.
Thank you, Barbara, for your exceptional service and compassion!
