On the FLY Award
A customer received outstanding service and support from two airport employees and wrote to us with their gratitude.
The customer left a bag in a taxi that he took home from Phoenix Sky Harbor. He called the airport’s Lost and Found Office, and while the woman he spoke to was kind, patient, and pleasant, she was unable to locate the bag.
The passenger drove back to the airport hoping to find the taxi he took earlier, and talked to Moataz A., a security guard with the Aviation Department who was working at the terminal taxi stand. The customer said Moataz was incredibly helpful and went well beyond his duty, and he began making calls to assist finding the bag. After about 15 minutes, Moataz and his supervisor, Robert A., were able to track down the bag.
“I've flown through scores of airports around the world,” the traveler said. “Moataz and Robert, as do so many others, truly make Phoenix Sky Harbor, America's Friendliest Airport®. And that makes me proud to be from Phoenix.”
We’re proud of Moataz and Robert too, so they have been recognized by Phoenix Sky Harbor’s On the FLY team (F = Friendly. L = Let me help. Y = You.)
Do you have a story about a Phoenix Sky Harbor employee who provided excellent customer service? Tell us about it at skyharbor@phoenix.gov and we’ll make sure they get the recognition they deserve.
