FLY Award Recipient Gives Friendly Help

An airport employee gave a passenger a helping hand after she lost her flight and other reservation information, and it saved the day.

Daniel M., a security guard with the Aviation Department, stepped in to assist the passenger, whose lost phone had a prepaid shuttle trip with an area transportation provider saved on it. The traveler was overwhelmed by her plight and didn’t know anyone in Phoenix who could help her—until Daniel took over.

“He was so patient and so kind. He contacted the shuttle company for me, explained the situation, and showed me where to wait for them to pick me up,” she said. “He deserves so much credit for how he took care of me. I’ll never forget him and his service at such a trying time.”
