PHX Earth Day Celebration Takes Off
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is excited to host its annual Earth Day Celebration on Tuesday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to noon, with fun activities throughout the airport. This year you can catch representatives from the City of Phoenix Water Services Department, Public Transit, Waymo, and our own Aviation Sustainability Team to learn about key initiatives supporting a more sustainable future.
The celebration isn’t just educational—it’s interactive and fun! Guests can visit booths offering eco-friendly giveaways and games at the Terminal 3 Arrivals Lobby below The Aviators, (the giant sunglasses); Terminal 4 Level 3 near Checkpoint C; Terminal 4 Level 1 Baggage Claim; and the 44th Street PHX Sky Train® Station.
Special appearances are scheduled by mascots Amelia the Airplane, Wayne Drop and Loo Poo from the Water Services Department, plus live musical performances at Terminal 4. Waymo will offer free first-ride codes to passengers curious about their all-electric autonomous vehicles, while the Navigator Buddies therapy dogs will be on-site at each location to provide stress-relieving snuggles.
