Celebrating 90 Years: Employee Spotlight
As Phoenix Sky Harbor continues its 90th anniversary celebration, we’re highlighting some of the dedicated employees and reflect on their roles and memories that have been created over the years.
Sylvia M., a 15-year veteran of the Aviation Department, currently serves as an administrative aide in the Technology Division. She is the engine that keeps everything running smoothly and has witnessed remarkable advancements in airport technology throughout her career.
Her connection to the airport runs deep—she fondly remembers visiting Phoenix Sky Harbor as a child with her parents to watch planes take off and land, a memory that has come full circle in her professional life. Passengers and employees alike may also recognize Sylvia as the face behind Amelia, the airport’s beloved mascot.
