Culture Corner Opens, Starts PHX 90th Anniversary Celebration

The Culture Corner opened in in Terminal 3 as a place to show off the beauty and cultural diversity of Arizona, and where passengers and employees alike guests can learn, observe, and participate in various cultural activities, performances and more.

It will be home to monthly activities like live art demonstrations, crafts, displays, readings, and more. All Culture Corner activities will be free.

The first Culture Corner activity, a Learn & Go session with the Phoenix Sister Cities Taipei Committee, was Jan. 17 when a live art demonstration of calligraphy and paper folding crafts was held. The Culture Corner is permanently located post-security near Gate F3.

The Culture Corner is Phoenix Sky Harbor’s initial event to begin the year-long celebration commemorating the 90th anniversary of the city of Phoenix purchasing the airport,

The Culture Corner will have programming each month, and the popular Traveling Tunes program will also take place in this space. Organizations interested in learning more or how to participate can contact Culture Corner staff at skyharbor@phoenix.gov.
