The Arc of Arizona in partnership with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and American Airlines will again host Wings for Autism on Oct. 21. This amazing event returns following the pandemic and gives children with autism and their families the opportunity to experience the airport first-hand with a “rehearsal” designed to make participants more comfortable with the air travel process. Participants will come to the airport, check in, go through the security screening process and board an aircraft, which will then taxi around the airport to simulate a flight.
