What does TSA PreCheck mean for the traveler?
For pre-approved travelers, this means they will be able to leave on their shoes, light outerwear, belt, and keep their laptop in its case. Additionally, the 3-1-1 compliant liquids and gels bag will be allowed in a carry-on bag at select screening lanes.
What to Look For
Passengers should look on their boarding passes for an indication of TSA PreCheck eligibility. Eligible passengers will see the TSA PreCheck logo on their boarding passes. Boarding passes include kiosk printed passes, web check-in and mobile boarding passes. See a list of participating airlines.

For those who have registered for the Global Entry program and have scheduled an interview at Phoenix Sky Harbor, the Enrollment Center is located on Level 3 of Terminal 4.
Travel ID
MVD urges Arizonans to consider getting Voluntary Travel I.D.
The Arizona Department of Transportation has made a Voluntary Travel ID available beginning April 1, 2016. This credential meets federal REAL ID Act of 2005 security requirements for access to airports, restricted federal buildings, military bases and more. It costs $25 and is good for up to eight years.
This also means since Arizona has a federally compliant ID that meets the requirements set forth in the REAL ID Act, current Arizona driver's licenses and ID cards will be acceptable for use at airports and elsewhere until May 7, 2025, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) launched a website where users can schedule their appointment and upload requirements in advance of their appointment.

CLEAR
CLEAR members move through a dedicated lane at airport security where they instantly validate their identities with the tap of a finger or blink of the eye before moving on to the bag checks and metal detectors.
CLEAR is available in Terminals 3 and 4.
How is CLEAR different than TSA PreCheck?
CLEAR and TSA’s PreCheck program are complementary. CLEAR automates the identity check, which provides speed and predictability, while PreCheck provides convenience during the physical screening process (by allowing flyers to keep their shoes and coat on.)
Do CLEAR members bypass security altogether?
No. CLEAR members get faster access by moving to the front of physical security screening after biometric identification – including bag checks, magnetometers, etc. – but do not bypass security.
