Beloved Airport Bureau Officer Dies
Twenty-year veteran Phoenix Police Officer Benjamin Denham dedicated his life to public service. In 2002, Officer Denham joined the Phoenix Police Airport Bureau. During his time serving, he became a K9 officer and was partnered with Hera. Officer Denham suffered from a rare combination of autoimmune diseases that he battled courageously and in the public eye to raise awareness. He lost his battle, passing away February 9. He was loved and respected by his peers and has been awarded and recognized with numerous commendations in the line of duty. Officer Denham leaves behind his wife and four children. His partner, Hera, will be retired and will continue living with the family.
